When it comes to eating clean, feeding a family an organic diet can get pretty costly very quickly.
While we all would love to feed our loved ones organic food every meal of the day, sometimes it’s just not realistic. However, the good news is that some foods are more important to eat organic than others.
Very interestingly EWG The Environmental Working Group, is an organisation dedicated to helping families live healthier lives in a healthier environment. Two of the ways they do this is with 2 must have lists for the next time you're doing the weekly shop.
- Their Clean 15 list– which includes lots of foods that absorb the least amount of pesticides on the market, great to have on hand when planning your families meals for the week!
- Also EWG’s Dirty Dozen – which is a really interesting list with the foods which absorb the most pesticides.
So if you can’t always buy organic, simply try to choose foods from the clean 15 to ensure your family is getting the least amount of exposure to nasty chemicals.
